Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Bit Jackpot collects when you use our site, why we process it, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it. It covers visitors in the European Union and United Kingdom under the GDPR, and residents of California under the CCPA and CPRA, as well as everyone else who reads us. By “we” and “Bit Jackpot” we mean the publication that operates this website; you can always reach us at editorial@bitjackpot.de.com.

What data we collect

  • Analytics data. When you visit, we collect limited technical information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and referring site. This helps us understand what content is useful and keep the site working.
  • Newsletter data. If you sign up for our newsletter, we store the email address you provide and basic delivery information so we can send it and let you unsubscribe.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us or use a contact form, we keep your message and contact details so we can respond and, where relevant, act on a correction or tip.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We use a small number of cookies, described in full in our cookie policy.

We do not ask for, and this site is not designed to collect, sensitive personal data, and you should not send us any. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Why we process your data, and our legal bases

Under the GDPR we rely on the following legal bases. We process analytics and site-security data on the basis of our legitimate interests in running and improving a safe website, balanced against your rights, and we ask for consent for non-essential cookies. We send the newsletter on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We respond to your messages to pursue our legitimate interest in communicating with readers and, where you contact us first, to take steps at your request.

Cookies and analytics

We use analytics to measure traffic in aggregate rather than to build detailed personal profiles for advertising. Non-essential cookies are only set where you have agreed through our consent banner, and you can change your choice at any time. The categories, and how to control them, are set out in the cookie policy.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the site, such as our hosting provider, a web analytics provider, and an email delivery provider for the newsletter. These providers process data on our behalf under agreements that limit what they may do with it. Some features load third-party data for context; for example, we fetch cryptocurrency prices from Binance’s public market API to display market context, and that involves requesting data from that public API rather than sending your personal information to it. Links to casinos and other external sites take you to services with their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers described above, or where we are legally required to do so, or to protect the rights and safety of our readers and our site. We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected: newsletter data until you unsubscribe, correspondence for as long as needed to handle your query and keep a reasonable record, and analytics data for a limited retention period after which it is deleted or fully anonymised.

Your rights under the GDPR

If the GDPR applies to you, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that already happened. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email us at editorial@bitjackpot.de.com and we will respond within the time the law allows.

Your rights under the CCPA and CPRA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request access to or deletion of that information, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. You can exercise these rights using the same contact details above.

Children

Bit Jackpot is intended for adults aged 18 or over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the site evolves or the law changes, and we will post the revised version here. For any privacy question or request, contact us at editorial@bitjackpot.de.com or through our contact page. Your use of the site is also governed by our terms of service.
